Scammers are posing as police officers to try and dupe people into handing over financial information. Phone calls even appear to come from a local police station, say officers from Camden Police Area Command in NSW, which is a warning the public to beware of the new tactics.
A woman living in Toronto is facing charges in connection with an alleged international telephone scam targeting seniors.

This number calls offering medical alert system at no cost. They also offered me $1000 in grocery saving coupons and a 75% prescription discount card. I dont want their free stuff as I believe this is part of an elaborate scam.
