What can the users learn about a number that is calling them?
Users can find the reviews of the phone number written by other users, the interest in the phone number in the last month and, if possible, its location (for landlines). Sometimes, there are no reviews for a given phone number. If, however, the page has e.g. a thousand views, it shows that it is most likely an annoying caller.
Scammers are sneakier than you might think, so you need to know how to protect your money and your information. In our increasingly connected world, scams are on the rise. While we may already know not to click on sketchy links online, phone scams can be very convincing
Following the inundation of spam calls that seem to originate from international numbers, WhatsApp’s engineering teams have moved to introduce new “classifiers” which can identify these calls and mark them as spam, sources in the know told ET.
